“Washoku”, the Japanese cuisine
- “Washoku” is a traditional dietary culture of the Japanese. Washoku is recently recorded as the World’s Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
Washoku is a celebration of the freshest seasonal ingredients, colors and textures. Washoku embraces the vivid four seasons of Japan and it is also known as a great presentation and the hospitality when serving.
You can experience eating Washoku and also cooking Washoku in Japan. For example, you can try fresh Sushi at Tsukiji market and there is cooking workshop in English in Tsukiji too.
If you will be staying at Japanese styled hotel, “Ryokan” you could have authentic Washoku plate (Kaiseki syle).
