Shinto, “the way of the gods is” the faith of the Japanese people. It remains as the Japanese major religion alongside Buddhism.
Shinto gods are called “kami” that has sacred spirits that take form of things that means essential in our life such as the tree, wind, rain, water and so on. It is believed that humans become kami after they die. The sun goddess Amaterasu is Shinto’s most important kami.
The difference to the Buddhism is that there is no absolute right and wrong and no perfection. Shinto is a faith of positivity and purification to keep evil spirit away.
- POINT!
